Focus Groups with Refugee Youth in Greece
After being in a "startup-incubator" at USC focused on creating engineering solutions to the refugee crisis, my team and I created Key Learning--an educational application that empowers refugee students via skills-based learning. Key delivers content through curated video playlists on select topics based on jobs needed in desired asylum countries.
My experience co-founding Key has taught me the importance of human-centric, empathy-driven design.. Collaborating with NGOs from all over the world and co-creating Key has changed the way I take on projects & think about problems..

I am currently a full-tuition scholarship student at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. I am a junior majoring in computer science and business and minoring in international policy & management.
I believe that the world's greatest challenges necessitate multi-disciplinary solutions & thinkers. The classes I have taken & the students I have met have taught me about how to create great products that are technically feasible, beautifully designed, and financially viable.

To say I am obsessed with traveling is an understatement. Anyone who knows me knows my favorite feeling in the world is touching down in a new country knowing that I am about to experience a whole new corner of the world.

After working abroad at TBWA\ Brussels in Belgium last summer, I fell in love with the experience of living in a whole new country. From learning about new cultures to trying local food to meeting incredibly interesting people, I am convinced that travel & working internationally are a part of my ideal future.

Being in a multicultural environment allowed me to challenge my own perspectives and experience a lifestyle very different from the one I grew up in. I am incredibly excited for the new adventures that will take place these upcoming years.

Introvert
As much as I love a fun night-out meeting new people, I can definitely say, with confidence, that I am more of an introvert.

However, I believe that although introverts might not be the loudest voice in the room, they are extremely powerful. Having the ability to listen, process, and then speak concisely & with conviction is an incredibly underrated skill.
​
Not to mention, everyone has their own definition of leadership. My definition is largely defined by my introvert-character traits. I believe in listening to others, leading with empathy, and empowering team members to be the best version of themselves.
From taking on an ARC-GIS project for the LA government having never heard of GIS to moving abroad at 18 to intern at TBWA Brussels, I am unafraid of a challenge.

In the essence of the startup philosophy that has been etched into my brain over this past year, I believe in the fail-fast mentality. Every opportunity taken is worthwhile and the worst thing that can happen is you fail. However, having been someone who has experienced failure multiple times, everytime I fail I grow and learn something new about myself.

Failures are successes. Setbacks are temporary. Once I changed my mindset to this, risk-taking didn't seem so scary anymore.
